Hubei • Qianjiang 200,000-Bird Layer Project
Hongsheng Agriculture & Animal Husbandry provided an automated solution for a 200,000-bird layer operation at a large-scale farming enterprise in Qianjiang, Hubei. This successfully addressed efficiency bottlenecks and disease prevention challenges in the region's high-temperature, high-humidity environment. The project incorporates an intelligent environmental control system (featuring dual-speed fans and IoT-based temperature/humidity regulation), end-to-end automated equipment (including step-feeders and centralized egg collection systems), and a digital management platform. This extended the peak laying period to 42 weeks, achieved an average annual egg production of 19.8kg/bird, reduced labor costs by 70%, increased egg quality compliance to 99.2%, and lowered energy consumption by 35%. The project stands as a benchmark for intelligent layer farming on the Jianghan Plain.
